What impact can PAH have on patients’ lives?

The breathlessness, weakness and fatigue which can be caused by PAH can have a dramatic impact on quality of life and the ability to carry out normal activities of everyday living.1.2.

People with AH can struggle with many aspects of daily life such as experiencing difficulty climbing stairs, walking short distances or simply getting dressed.3,4.

“Being diagnosed with PAH was a huge shock for me and the family. Although I had been feeling tired and breathless for a while I had never heard of pulmonary hypertension and I had so many questions: Could it be cured? What treatment would I need? Would I be around to see my children grow up?” said Rosie, a PAH patient.
